Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning
Starting off the list strong with one of my favorite franchises, Mission Impossible. The eighth and possibly the last installment in the franchise is also the counterpart to the previous film Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1. The seventh film might be my favorite of the rest of them so to finally get to see part two will be amazing. It has stunts that only Tom Cruise could do and a stacked casting. With our lead actor we also have Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, and Pom Klementieff in the film. Overall, I can’t wait to see what spectacles this film has in store for viewers and myself this summer.

Fantastic Four: First Steps
Next up is Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four. There have been many recreations of these guys over many years. Starting with the not too terrible film in 2005 as well as its sequel in 2007. Followed up shortly by the 2015 recreation, which was heavily hated on by critics. Now, after ten years of waiting, we have our newest and looks to be our best version yet. First, the casting is phenomenal with Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing. Also I love the 60s sort of aesthetic with the set and the superhero suits. The set design and visual effects look phenomenal as well. Overall, I feel like this will be a super enjoyable film and a fantastic time.

How to Train Your Dragon
Now this movie is definitely nostalgic for me. How To Train Dragon isn’t just my favorite animated movie of all time, but it is also one of my top ten favorite movies of all time. To see the dragons I know and love from the original animated feature film on the big screen in live action is a dream come true. With the live action casting of Mason Thames as Hiccup, Nico Parker as Astrid, and Gerald Butler, the original voice actor for Stoick, as Stoick the Vast. We also got the return of the director from the original film for this remake as well. Although some people still have their doubts about the film, I just can’t wait to experience one of my favorite movies on screen from a different perspective.

F1
My second most anticipated film is more of a stand alone film compared to the last three. F1 is a high intensity adrenaline movie about the legacy of Sonny Hayes. Sonny Hayes is played by Brad Pitt in the movie with co-stars Kerry Condon as Kate, Javier Bardem as Ruben, and Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce. One of the biggest reasons I’m excited for this movie is that the director from one of my top ten films, Top Gun: Maverick, is the one who directed this movie. Joseph Kosinski also directed other films such as Only the Brave, Oblivion, and Tron: Legacy. This film was definitely made for the biggest screen possible and I can’t wait to experience it in theaters this summer.

Jurassic World: Rebirth
Now first on my list and the movie I’m most excited about this summer is Jurassic World: Rebirth. This movie is my number one because Jurassic Park is my third favorite movie of all time. That being so, I’m especially excited to watch the installation in one of my top five favorite franchises. This movie takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion and follows Johnathon Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, and Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid as they travel back to what looks to either be Isla Sorna from the second and third Jurassic Park films or a new island otherwise known as Cite C. They have to retrieve DNA from three different species off an island with a lot of hybrid dinosaurs without dying. The two big things that intrigue me most about this movie is one of the hybrid dinosaurs that we haven’t gotten a good look at in the trailers but seems to resemble a mix between a Tyrannosaurus, a Rancor from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and a Xenomorph from Alien. The second thing I’m excited about is that they got the director Gareth Edwards to make this film. He has directed big name projects such as Godzilla(2014), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and The Creator. This means he definitely has great experience showing the scale of huge masses such as Godzilla which should be greatly applied to the dinosaurs in this film. Even though I didn’t include Superman or other great films of this summer, I feel these five are going to turn out the best and give the audience and fans a great experience.
