Perfect Bracket

As you may know, March Madness is around the corner. If you didn’t know March Madness is a month-long college basketball tournament designed to find the best team in all of college. Even nonbasketball fans enjoy this tournament due to its exhilarating vibes and electric entertainment. Even though March Madness is already amazing there is one thing that makes it better. That would be the March Madness bracket. The bracket is a visual representation of how these teams are organized for the tournament. You are meant to fill out the bracket based on who you think is going to win the games. You fill out every game until you reach the end when you guess who the overall tournament winner will be. Most people make them with friends, family, coworkers, teammates, etc. When making them you want to get the most right out of everyone you are playing with. The only problem is that it is harder than you might think.

No one has ever filled out a bracket perfectly, meaning no one has ever guessed all the right teams winning. This is where I come in. My mission is to create a perfect bracket this year. Now, there are many different ways people fill out brackets, but clearly none of these work. I’ve seen people pick who is going to win based on which mascot is more appealing. Some people fill it out by picking the higher seeds every time. I have even seen people study each team individually and take notes then pick who is going to win. People even make their picks on the best mascots, favorite teams, or even the most fun-to-watch teams. I decided that I would incorporate a couple of these strategies into my foolproof one.

Let's get into my bracket strategy that will become the first-ever perfect bracket in history. The first part of the strategy is to pick all the games that have two animal mascots playing each other. I will choose these games based on which mascot would realistically win in a fight. If there is a game without two animal mascots I will either base it off of a coin toss or if I have a good feeling about a certain team. I believe that creating a good bracket mainly relies on having a good feeling in your gut that you can trust and take all the way. This not only applies to the March Madness bracket ideology but also to life. Always trust your gut. And for that reason, my way too early pick to win the whole tournament is Yale. I say this because I feel like they are a slight underdog in the tournament and have a solid team. They have the perfect combination of intelligence and athleticism. They also have a pretty solid mascot known as Handsome Dan the Bulldog. My perfect bracket will be completed by Yale winning the entire March Madness tournament. All thanks to my new bracket strategy, I will be the first person ever to create a perfect bracket.
