The Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe) is excited to welcome musician and songwriter, Stephen Mougin, as their 2021 Artist in Residence.
Stephen Mougin will be hosting free music education lessons via Zoom beginning April 7 as part of an ongoing virtual series and will perform live at the Children’s Museum on May 1. Stephen will be working with children teaching the history of Bluegrass, instrument demonstrations, songwriting,

Stephen “Mojo” Mougin is best known as the guitarist for the Sam Bush Band. In addition to his busy performance schedule, Stephen owns Dark Shadow Recording Company where he records and produces music for some of the top names in Bluegrass including Becky Buller, Rick Faris and others. Stephen is also well known as a songwriter having had songs recorded by The Sam Bush Band, Melonie Cannon and, of course Nedski & Mojo. As a music instructor, Stephen has produced the DSR Harmony Training Series as well as guitar instruction videos for Truefire.
The Artist in Residence program aims to provide an opportunity for children and families to observe and interact with a professional artist. The program is open to artists working in a variety of media. Artists are chosen based on artistic merit and proven experience working with children and families.
