The Evansville community is invited the culminating student performances of The Emperor’s New Clothes on July 11 at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm at the Washington MS auditorium.
The EVSC Foundation and Missoula Children’s Theater are proud to present their summer production of The Emperor’s New Clothes on June 6 – 11 at Washington Middle School. The program is free to participants, and will take students from audition to performances in just one week!
Auditions will be held in the Washington MS auditorium on Monday, June 6 from 10 am – 12 noon. Students grades 1-8 are invited to audition in the group audition process - no advance preparation is necessary! Approximately 50 – 60 students will be cast to appear in the show.
Among the roles to be cast are the Emperor; ManyPenny and the Money Council; the Royal Scholars Roxy and Red; Kings, Queens; Gem and
the Royal Jewelers; Boots and the Royal Cobblers; Lid and the Royal Hatters; Stitch and the Royal Tailors; and the Royal Silkworms. Assistant Directors will also be cast to help with rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage
responsibilities. Students auditioning should arrive at 9:30 am and plan to stay for the full two hours.
The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 9:45 am – 12 noon, and 12:30 – 2:30 pm each day. Students will also have a chance to sign up for workshops to develop confidence and acting skills. Workshops will be offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 8 – 9:30 am.
