    WHERE: West Franklin Street from St Joseph Ave to Wabash Avenue

    The Four Freedoms Veterans Parade is proud to announce Jerry Blake as the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade. Jerry Blake graduated from North High School and then received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Oakland City University. He served 40 years in the Army and Army Reserves with two tours in Vietnam from 1967 -1969, one tour in Honduras, and one tour in Kuwait/Iraq. In 2008, he received the Veteran of the Year Award and was awarded the VFW Dwight D. Eisenhower Award in 2012. Mr. Blake was inducted into the Indiana Military Veteran’s Hall of Fame in 2017, and received Governor Holcomb’s Sagamores of the Wabash in 2018. He was the All-American Post Commander in 2010 and 2012, served as the State VFW Commander in 2016-2017, then as Chairman for the VFW Big 10 Conference from 2017-2018. Mr. Blake is currently serving as the Commander of the Vanderburgh Veterans’ Council, State VFW Chaplin, and on the Executive Committee for the VFW National Home for Veterans. Additionally, he is the founder of Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 6. Jerry is a driving force in support of veterans and their causes. It is with great pride and gratitude, that we honor Jerry Blake as the Grand Marshal for this year’s parade.

    SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

    10:30 Parade registration starts at Parking Lot corner of St Joseph and Lloyd Expressway

    10:30 to 1:30 Parade line up and assembly in parking lot at corner of St Joseph and Lloyd Expressway

    1:30 to 2:00 Music on sidewalk at Smitty’s Restaurant (weather permitting)

    2:00 Parade starts

    Approximately 4:30 end of parade
