Ivy Tech Community College was on-site at the Indiana Statehouse recently to meet with lawmakers leading up to the legislative halftime break. This year's legislative session, in addition to the biennial budget, includes several bills that will impact higher education, economic and workforce development, and many other topics relevant to Ivy Tech Evansville and the 10 counties this campus serves in Southwest Indiana.
Vidal said that with the enthusiastic participation in the January event at Ivy Tech Evansville, the campus wanted an opportunity to continue conversations around proposed bills and advocate for the region, as legislators return to the Statehouse for the second half of the session.
