Enjoy your summer break at your local Children’s Museum, with your feet in the sand and your friends nearby.
The Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe) announces the opening of their 5th Street Beach. The beach will be located directly in front of cMoe, on 5th Street, and will open to the public on May 30, 2024. The beach will remain open for play through July 20, 2024.
The 5th Street Beach, commonly known simply as cMoe’s Beach, is a chance to dig your feet into the sand, build a sandcastle, and relax in the summer sun. During normal business hours, the beach and surrounding area will be adorned with toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, outdoor games, sprinklers, and more. cMoe welcomes all community members to this Downtown Evansville beach to take your lunch break, bring your children to play, read a book, and enjoy the summer with us.
“We have so many children and families that really look forward to having fun at our beach. Some kids are experiencing playing in sand for the first time, and there are many families who take staycations by enjoying local activities in the community.” said Erica Schmidt, cMoe Executive Director.
cMoe has an exciting summer ahead, with events, 2024 Summer Camps, and more, and the 5th Street Beach is just one part of the fun! Enjoy your summer break at your local Children’s Museum, with your feet in the sand and your friends nearby. Purchase your cMoe Membership today for unlimited access to the fun.
