Event to be held Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (CST) at CK Newsome Community Center
The Villages of Indiana is hosting a free fun-filled day to celebrate new and expectant mothers at its first-ever Community Baby Shower in Evansville, Ind. The day will feature food provided by CareSource Women and Children’s Health Outcomes and giveaways including diapers, car seats, strollers, cribs and more. The event is free and open to the public.
More than 16 vendors including the Goodwill Nurse Partnership, Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library and the Vanderburgh County WIC program will have booths at the event. Stellar Lens Photography will provide free mini-photo sessions for expectant and new moms with their children.
“We are excited to celebrate new and expectant mothers and their children by offering a day filled with fun, giveaways and introductions to several resources during our Community Baby Shower,” said Shannon Schumacher, president and CEO of The Villages of Indiana. “We want these new mothers to feel pampered by showering them with gifts, food and even a mini-photo shoot to capture this special moment in their lives.”
