IHSAA Commissioner Paul Neidig today announced the state finals host sites for two spring state tournaments.
Following conversations with the IHSAA Executive Committee, this year’s Boys, Girls and Unified Track & Field State Finals will be contested at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis.
The boys meet will be contested on Friday, June 4 while the unified meet and girls meet are set for Saturday, June 5.
The Softball State Finals will be played at Center Grove High School in Greenwood on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12.
The track meets had been planned for Indiana University’s Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex in Bloomington while the softball games had been scheduled for Purdue University’s Bittinger Stadium in West Lafayette. Both universities had confirmed last month they would be unable to host the IHSAA events with spectators on the scheduled dates.
The IHSAA would like to express its appreciation to the member schools who stepped up to offer their assistance in hosting these events.
